"The trail is a unifying project for our new regional town of Cap-Acadie, which will reach from West Boudreau to Shemogue, with eventual branches reaching Cormier-Village and Haute-Aboujagane. This project, inclusive and accessible to all generations, for walking and cycling, will bring social, environmental, cultural, tourist and economic benefits to our entire region.
It is the kind of infrastructure that would encourage young families from outside the region to come and settle in our region and would also incite our young families to stay, thus keeping our seniors in the region close to their families.
I also see this project contributing to the protection of our local environment with well-placed trails to protect our fragile ecosystems, such as dunes, wetlands, marshes, etc., but also serving as a place to observe and educate about these areas that are so beneficial to our ecosystems."

"I am a citizen of Dieppe and our family has owned a home in Cap-Acadie, Petit-Cap area, since 2016. We reside at our little piece of paradise from spring to fall. Our immediate family consists of seven people between the ages of 7 and 70 and this number increases to 12 people with our family visiting from all over Canada who are coming to enjoy the beautiful summer days that the Maritimes has to offer. Our household numbers swell event more on the weekends when our local friends and family come over to enjoy the beauty of the seaside.
Obviously, we need to take several cars to get to various activities and events at the beach, recreational and cultural activities or just to do our groceries. There is no question that a nature trail connecting all the surrounding infrastructure and communities would be a viable active transportation option for us.
Like us, our neighbourhood is also very active. We always meet neighbours on our regional streets and on the sand dunes every day. A designated pathway for walkers, runners and cyclists would be a great way to increase safety in our area of Three Brook Road which is very narrow with high traffic speeds.
Our neighbourhood has created a Facebook group to connect our residents and be a voice for our area this spring and/or summer. We have a strong community spirit in Cap-Acadie. There are already neighbours who collect bikes for all ages which can be borrowed when needed! All we need is a trail! Imagine the possibilities... an artisan’s village, an outdoor market with local products, an art exhibit, regional ambassadors sharing tourist information, theatrical animation about the history of the area... there is no limit to what can this bring to our local area!
Kudos to the Shore Line Trail team for the presentation at the public information session and for all the work that has been done over the past few years."

First of all,"CAN NOT WAIT FOR THIS TRAIL SYSTEM TO BE COMPLETED"!
Sorry just wanted to see the route it will take across our back yard in Boudreau-Ouest. We would like to make a nice access path down to it from our home!!
CHEERS!

Imagine being able to travel 150 km on a trail that is accessible for all ages, all physical conditions, and is safe. This is what the Shoreline Trail is all about!
Personally, I participate in many adaptive sports as a result of an old spinal cord injury. My favourite, of course, is travelling the trails on my handcycle, accompanied by my trusted old dog.
Most days I travel the trails in and around Shediac. I meet many very interesting people, relieve any stress that I might be experiencing and enjoy nature as it changes with each season.
Soon we’ll be able to travel from Alma to Riverview, across to Moncton, to Dieppe, to Scoudouc across the beautiful Scoudouc River, to the seaside town of Shediac, then along the shores of the Northumberland Strait all the way to Cap-Acadie.
Exercise and fresh air are great medicine, thanks to Shoreline Trails this will be possible for all.
